FAQs

  • An internal examination is ALWAYS optional.

Since the ability to perform an internal assessment (either intravaginally or intrarectally) is often the missing link for many patients, we believe good pelvic floor therapy consists of internal and external treatments. However, the patients requests and comfort is always top priority when selecting specific treatments for each patient’s case.

  • This depends!

Like most PT programs, consistency is key to results. In order to get the best results, most of our patients come at least weekly for the first 2-3 months of treatment.

Many of our patients start noticing improvements in their symptoms within the first 3-5 visits.

  • We always advise wearing something comfortable, that you can move around in.

Many of our treatments involve working around the abdomen and hip areas so we usually advise patients to avoid wearing a jumpsuit or romper.

  • No! We can begin our treatments without a prescription.

We typically like to make your primary care doctor, GYN, or OBGYN aware that you are receiving care at our office, but our amazing front desk admin team can help you with all the leg work on that!

  • Quality of care and personalization is our primary goal, so most of our patients are looking for providers outside of the traditional insurance model.

Our services can be covered through out of network physical therapy benefits. We provide each patient with an itemized invoice that they can submit on their own to their insurance company, if interested.
