A word from one of our patients:

Dr. Jenn Perna PT, DPT, OCS, PCES

Owner, Pelvic floor therapist

As a woman who recovered from four childbirths, Dr. Jenn has experienced how little support and guidance there is regarding postpartum recovery. After experiencing both orthopedic and pelvic pain after recovering from her second pregnancy, she realized the need for a quiet and private physical therapy clinic that specialized solely specializes in women's pelvic health concerns.

Dr. Jenn founded Vivid in response to firsthand experience of being brushed off after a challenging postpartum recovery and frustration with how patients are cared for in the traditional physical therapy setting. She wanted to spend time getting to know her patients and partnering with them to design treatment plans that were individualized and effective.

Creating a private space that values one-on-one time with patients was non-negotiable. She has proudly grown Vivid to a group of likeminded clinicians that are equally passionate about women’s health and delivering quality care to patients.

  • Dr. Jenn received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Columbia University in 2012 and is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and is a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES)

Dr. Jenn has taken close to 30 pelvic health trainings and courses, specific to women’s health.

Dr. Jenn is trained in menstrual cycle coaching and in fitting pessaries

  • Dr. Jenn has a passion for treating moms, especially moms in their 30s and 40s that are struggling with symptoms during exercise.
