FAQs

  • Pelvic floor physical therapists have extensive training and understanding of our “deep system”. This includes the muscles that sit deep within our core and pelvic girdle. Often these muscles can be the missing link on why your back and pelvic girdle pain has not improved with traditional physical therapy. If you have been going to traditional physical therapy and haven’t had much change in your symptoms, seeing a physical therapist that has an understanding of the pelvic floor may be beneficial.

  • At Vivid, our therapists have orthopedic and pelvic floor knowledge and will be able to tell you whether they believe the pelvic floor is contributing to your symptoms. Our women’s health physical therapists understand how a women’s hormones, body composition and posture all can play a role in their symptoms.

In addition, all of our treatments are one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. You will have your provider’s undivided attention for a full hour. We do not use aides or techs to assist with treatment, and treatment won’t consist of a bunch of exercises that you can just do at home. All of our treatments are hands on, meaningful and targeted at your specific concerns.

  • We typically see our patients once per week until their symptoms decrease and give you things to work on while at home.

  • Yes! Our model allows us to treat all of the body parts that we think are contributing to your symptoms. In fact, if you are coming for your lower back, expect your therapist to take a look at other areas of the body to determine if they are contributing to your symptoms!
