The Healthy Mamas program at Vivid is a program designed to help you reconnect with your core and pelvic floor postpartum and have a clear path to getting back to the activities you love.
The Healthy Mamas program includes:
3 sessions with a pelvic floor therapist:
Visit 1 is aimed at teaching you how to connect with your pelvic floor, assess your body's ability to utilize breath to control tension in your pelvic floor, address postural and mobility changes that occurred as a result of pregnancy. You will receive individualized exercises to help your body recover from birth.
Visit 2 is aimed at teaching you how to reconnect with your core using a trans-abdominal ultrasound. We will be able to assess each layer of your abdominal wall and see how each layer is functioning and give you individualized exercises to optimize coordination and healing through the core.
Visit 3 is aimed at tying it all together and to progress towards your desired functional mobility or postpartum activity goals.
Exercise program for early postpartum
Exercise videos with safe to perform exercises for the first 6 weeks postpartum. Learn how to reactivate your core and safely transition to a walking program postpartum.
Exercises to address common postpartum concerns
Videos that discuss symptoms such as pelvic heaviness, neck pain and lower back pain and things that you can do to address them.
"How to" videos
Videos discussing topics such as "how to" push a stroller properly, measure for a breast pump flange, properly wear baby and position yourself during baby feeding.
Interviews on navigating early postpartum with local providers including an OBGYN, lactation consultant and mental health therapist
Understand the expectations of early postpartum, be able to identify signs of postpartum depression or anxiety, and how to best handle them, and troubleshoot through common concerns with feeding baby.
